The Iconic Lipstick by Fashion Fair

I love when things are curated just for me. You know women that look like me, think like me, and dress like me. And Fashion Fair I’ve always considered to be one of those brands that always aimed to do just that. It is one of those brands that I remember seeing growing up before I could even wear makeup. They were one of those brands that exuded “Black Girl Magic ” way before it was a thing to trend.

For decades, this brand was deeply rooted in the fashion, and magic that is Black Women. They have recently re-branded and re-introduced a new line of modern vegan skincare and makeup products for deeper skin tones. And this brown skin girl just loves all of that!

If you follow me on Instagram, then you know I live for a bomb lip, so of course I had to try this new modernly improved formula.

Packaging
I tried the Iconic lipstick and first impression- Impressed! I’m all for a good presentation and so the white box that it comes packaged in delivers the clean message that they’ve reiterated to be part of their re-brand. And then to take it out of the package and see that the tube was gold just elevates it for me. That gold tube with it’s magnetic close, I swear gives all that it’s supposed to give.

Formula
It’s oil infused with herbal extracts of sunflower seed oil and rosemary leaf for a very lush conditioning. This makes it a very long lasting, creamy, highly pigmented and hydrating formula! This lipstick survived two cups of coffee and literally lasted all day!
