4 Ways to Stay Motivated this 4th Quarter
So as we approach the 4th quarter, I’m determined to stay encouraged, focused, and motivated. See we have the habit of failing to realize and acknowledge God’s blessings when it doesn’t come in the way that we expected it to. Or when he gives us what we need rather than what we want.
So here are a few things that I’m doing to help me stay motivated and push myself throughout in the 4th quarter. I’m sure that these this will help you too.
Write down a list of all of the things that you’ve accomplished?
Take the time to count your wins rather then your losses. We easily overlook the little things, especially when it is not of importance to us. When in fact, an accomplishment is still just that- an accomplishment. So whether you planned it or not, make sure you account for something that worked out well for you this year. Some things came to us by chance, but still be sure to add to the list of things accomplished.
A win is still a win.
Make a list of things easily attainable
What are some small things that are easily attainable by the end of the year? Ok, so we’re going to make another list. But this time- A list of smaller wins that can easily be won. What’s that thing/things that you’ve been perhaps putting off? However, on this list, you’ll want to include something or things that you can get done right now.
Get an accountability partner
Find someone (friend or family member) who has the ability to hold you accountable. Sometimes that person can be working on the same thing or that friend that takes a genuine interest in you and your dreams. You know that friend that enjoys seeing you win, so they cheer you on. That person easily becomes a support system- your accountability partner.
Identify that one goal that’s most important to you and set a date to the goal
What is one thing that you can get done today or even by the end of the year? Whatever it may be, take the time today to start it, schedule it, or apply for it. For me it has been legitimizing my “hobby” or side hustle by establishing it as an LLC. Set a due date and get laser focus in on that goal. Take all of the energy that you have to spare and place it into that thing and try to accomplish it by that date. There’s nothing like putting a date to something that makes that thing real.
This has helped me to reshape my thinking and still feel that there is hope for the things that I aspired to this year. I’m hoping that these will help you to finish your year strong too!
