Hello April! What I’m Looking Forward to This Month
Hello April! Also known as chapter 4 of 12 and the start of the 2nd quarter- I’m so happy to see you. April has always been that month for me that really hits like wow, this year is moving right along. And even more importantly to point out that we’re a year and almost 1 month into a pandemic and most of us are still pushing steadily along.
Even with the world being in the state that it is, I am still thankful for life, family, friends, and fresh starts.
This month, here’s what I’m looking forward to.
Riley’s 3rd Birthday– My baby girl is a little Taurus in every way, and she turns 3 this year! It’s been such an honor to be her mom and watch her grow. The mini conversations that she initiates is mind blowing. She communicates the things that she wants very clearly. At this moment, I have no clue what I’m planning, but whatever it is, it will be another COVID friendly birthday at home with a couple of family members. And I will be sure to take you along.
Time Away– Before the pandemic hit, we were planning on attending a wedding that had to unfortunately put on hold. Now rescheduled for this year, we are finally able to witness with them, their big day. So, this is officially some time away, just Reggie and me. As the existence of COVID becomes our new normal, we’re slowly trying to navigate it.
Warm Weather– We experienced the first day of Spring in the month of March. However, for many most days still felt like weather. Days where it’s cold at night and much warmer during the day. My light bill, I know will pay this month. Therefore, I look forward to consistent warmer weather because quite frankly my light bill can’t handle the back and forth.
Netflix– And of course, I have the things I’m looking forward to on Netflix. To be honest, I’m a little behind on my line-up on Netflix. I’m looking forward to catching up on a few series and movies and one series particular, Worn Stories is new and premiering April 1st. This comedic Netflix docuseries gives us a heartfelt of real people and their bizarre stories around their most meaningful pieces of clothing. This takes me to pieces of clothing that has taken me a long time to throw away. Pieces that I’ve kept that should have been tossed out. So, I’m curious to see how these stories will be told and how they will unfold.
A quarter of this year already has come and gone. This month, I plan to enjoy these little things while also continuing to get laser focused on the things that matter most.
What are you looking forward to this month?
