Spring Clean With Me
The truth is that I’m not a big fan of spring because not only does it bring all of the rain, I also associate it with spring cleaning. Now, I’ve shared before that I let go of the fact that my home had to look like it was straight out of a Better Homes Magazine and cleaning is not my lane of genius.
As a wife and a working mother of 2, it is still and may forever be a challenge for me. There are in fact superhuman mommas that do it, and commend them time and time again. However, I’ve accepted some time back that she’s not me.
Now with the first day of Spring around the corner, and my genius idea to outsourcing someone to actually deep clean my home, I’m taking the extra time to organize, refresh, and replace.
Check out my list of things I’ll be refreshing and replacing
Towels– Making an effort to truly be intentional about taking inventory about these things. We don’t have too many visitors, so it’s never really been something that I’ve cared to keep a track of. Slowly they disappeared. However, God came through and looked out so well that I found some on clearance at Bed Bath & Beyond. Each towel was only $2.49!
Wash Cloths– You can never have too much of these. And these wash clothes linked here feel so good.
Spoons & forks – Because like for real, where do these go? I purchased these here and they’re super cute and affordable.
Pillow Case Protector– If you follow my stories on Instagram, you’ll know that my husband prefer to wash his pillow rather than simply washing it. So this is specifically for my husband who refuses to simply purchase a new one. So I purchases this pillow protector for him.
Plates– Don’t judge me but we don’t use the dishwasher too often and my husband can be a little rough washing at times. So the glass ones break and the plastic ones for the kids lunch and stuff get missing. Definitely replacing the plastic ones with these.
New Pots/Pans – I’m embarrassed to say how long I’ve had the ones I have. Check out the ones that I’m eyeing here.
Tupperware– Like spoons these seem to disappear and so I’m throwing out the ones that are missing lids, or lids that are missing bottoms and I’m replacing them with Rubbermaid.
File Cabinet– My husband has been asking for one for a while and so I’m finally giving in. Going to reorganize the clutter of paper for good.
Single Socks– Another year of throwing the ones missing pairs and I’m relying on Amazon to come through to replace them with these.
Perfect time to not only clean and declutter, but to refresh and replace as well; especially the ones for my son.
