5 Holiday Movies to Watch This Season on Netflix
Everybody by now knows that I love the holiday season! Even when I worked in retail, I always loved the energy that was in the air, the music that played on the overhead, and even the long lines and large crowds.
And we can’t forget what some may consider corny holiday movies. I mean who doesn’t love a bit of holiday magic? And with all that we’ve been through this year, getting sucked in is exactly what we all need! Yes, the plots are predictable and acting is over the top, but after a long day of lines and traffic, it continues to remind me of what the holiday season is truly about.
This year, Lifetime and Hallmark continues with their tradition of playing these movies nonstop and in fact, they’ve started a little earlier. However, Netflix has since join in spreading the holiday magic and cheer by not only streaming some Christmas classics, but also producing full-length, highly produced quality Netflix Christmas Originals themselves.
Here are 5 holiday movies streaming on Netflix that you’re guaranteed to love.
Jingle Jangle – Oh the magic! This musical tells the soulful story of a toymaker that was betrayed by his trusted apprentice, but life turns around when his granddaughter comes into his life.
This Christmas– My absolutely favorite Christmas movie! After years of being apart, this family is reunited and they use this opportunity to air their true feelings. Not much magic, however, it reminds me so much of real family drama and balances out the magic for me.
Christmas Chronicles– The cutest little movie that both the kids and you will enjoy! And what’s Christmas without a story about Santa and his reindeer anyway? After accidentally crashing Santa’s sleigh, a brother and sister pull an all-nighter to save Christmas with a savvy, modern-day St. Nick
The Holiday Calendar– Ooohhh, I love a good love story! This Netflix Original tells the story of an aspiring photographer receives an antique Advent calendar passed down from her grandmother arrives just in time to point her toward love and finally fulfilling career.
Holiday Rush– The privilege is real! In corny holiday movie fashion, after their father loses his job, this family of labels reminds us about what really matters during the holiday season
Holiday movies aren’t for everybody, but for most, there’s always that one movie.
While the holidays can become stressful, remember to destress by scheduling time on the couch for a holiday movie or two with the family.
You won’t regret it.
